The Human Media Lab is one of Canada's premier media laboratories. Its mandate is to develop disruptive technologies and new ways of working with computers that are viable 10 to 20 years from now. We are currently working on the design of Organic User Interfaces (Oui!), an exciting new paradigm that allows computers to have any shape or form.

The top international conference in tangible computing interfaces, the ACM SIGCHI conference on Tangible, Embedded, and Embodied Interaction (TEI 2012 http://tei-conf.org) will take place at the Human Media Lab at Queen's University at 19th-22nd of February 2012 in Kingston. This conference will showcase the most exciting current developments in computing interfaces from top research laboratories around the world, including Microsoft Research, Disney, MIT Media Lab, Carnegie Mellon, etc. This is one of the most exciting opportunities to see top tech demos in Kingston.

Human media lab organized http://designourtomorrow.com/ conference sold out this weekend to 1500 undergraduate students interested in listening to speakers ranging from Karim Rashid to Edward Burtynski and Steve Mann.
